Ali

Ali

Owner and Coach

Ali Ott has done great things to help everyone in the area become fit and learn their true potential. Having founded CrossFit Zionsville in 2012, Ali has attended CrossFit for 13 years and has been a coach for 8 of them! Ali has lifted weights for as long as he can remember and he even made home-made weights and a wooden bench when he was younger so he could have a make-shift bench press! He has always been involved in athletics because he played soccer as a kid and ran track in high school, but he found his true passion for CrossFit. Ali was introduced to CrossFit in 2005 and realized that it was a perfect outlet for him. Ali moved to Indianapolis for college and got his degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, but he realized after he graduated that he wasn’t passionate about those things. When he was stressed about school and his workload, he would work out to ease this tension, and shortly after this epiphany, he started CrossFit Zionsville! Ali’s certifications include CrossFit Level 1 and 2, Kids, and Gymnastics. Over the years he has developed favorites and least favorite WODs, and he shared that his least favorite WOD was Jackie, consisting of rowing, thrusters, and pull-ups, while his least favorite is Murph, made up of running, pull-ups, push-ups, and air squats. Ali is very experienced with CrossFit and a great coach that helps people reach their goals!

Andrew

Andrew

Coach

I have been an athlete for as long as I can remember. My parents put me in gymnastics when I was young to help me work off excess energy. Along with gymnastics, I played football, basketball, baseball, ran track, and even some soccer growing up. I was on the 1997 IU football team as a preferred walk on, but left the team to concentrate on my degree. I graduated IU in 2001 with a degree in Kinesiology. I moved to Indianapolis after graduation and stayed active by playing in an adult football league for 3 years. I continued to work out but was bored with doing the same workout 3 days a week. I first tried Crossfit in 2015 and was hooked instantly. I love the variable programing, benchmark workouts that allow me to measure my progress, and the community aspect of Crossfit. My favorite WODs are longer chipper workouts, like Kelley (5 rds for time: 400m run, 30 box jumps, 30 wall balls) and my least favorites are quick anaerobic WODs like Fran (21-15-9 Thrusters 95#, pull ups).

I received my Crossfit L1 in July 2020 and recently passed the spot the flaw, scaling, and lesson planning courses.

I look forward to helping members reach and exceed their fitness goals.

Annette

Annette

Coach

Annette is one of our many amazing coaches at CrossFit Zionsville! Having been a CrossFitter for 13 years, Annette has made her impact on many people in the area. At CrossFit, Annette’s favorite WOD is “Annie”, consisting of jump rope and sit-ups, while her least favorite WOD is “Karen”, consisting of 150 wall balls. Before she found CrossFit, she was a member at a World Gym for a couple of years, until the owners closed the gym and it reopened as a CrossFit. Annette was a CrossFitter for about 6 years before she decided to become a coach in 2011 when her son and his wife opened their own gym. Annette’s certifications are Levels 1 and 2, and she has worked many hours helping people achieve higher goals to better their strength. Although Annette spends many days coaching, she also hops into classes and does the workouts. Her kind-heart and outgoing personality make her unique and welcoming to everyone who walks in the door!

Tiff

Tiff

Coach

Tiff was introduced to the gym and weightlifting at 14 and fell in love with it. Went on to graduate from Ball State University in 2003 with a BS in Exercise Science with a focus on personal training. Interned out of college as a trainer and group fitness instructor at Coors Brewing Company’s corporate fitness. Landed her first job as a Personal Trainer in August 2003 at a private local gym here, Fitness Clinic Indy & worked there for four years. Tiff trained and competed in bodybuilding (figure competitions) in 2005. In September 2007, she had her first child and went on maternity leave- which lasted 14 years! Tiff continued training for herself through all 4 of her pregnancies and the past 14 years. In 2015 I was introduced to CrossFit and fell in love again. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 7 years now and in March of 2022 I earned my CF-L1. Slowly but surely, she’s getting back to her passion of helping others achieve their fitness goals! Tiff’s favorite movements are deadlifts, HSPU, strict pull-ups, and anything overhead. One of her favorite workouts is Grace. Her best advice to athletes: “Show up, put in the work & just keep moving!”

Tyler

Tyler

Coach

I began doing CrossFit while on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard. My commanding officer recommended it to me after he had seen the type of workouts I was doing on my own. The first gym I ever attended was I am CrossFit Upper Keys, and from that day forward my idea Fitness was forever changed.

I have now been participating in CrossFit for 2 years, and have been a member of CFZ since August 2016. As a coach I am excited for the opportunity to help members achieve their goals and improve their fitness.
